Delaware police shoot man in wheelchair; relatives ask why
This article is about a handicapped man, Jeremy McDole, who has been shot for being armed with a .38 caliber. Being in a wheelchair, you can't really do much, so this not only makes the police look bad, but as everyone wondering why. Jeremy was on the sidewalk when the police had their guns pointed at them. When they told him to put his hands up, he didn't go by their word, but rather just kept his hands in his lap. The cops assumed that he was going for his gun that he had placed at his waist, which triggered their reflex to shoot him. Phyllis McDole, Jeremy's mother, was witnessing what was happening and she explained it quite differently. She said that he just had his hands on his lap, and for this reason, she doesn't know why her 28-year-old son has been shot. All she had to say was, "This is unjust."
In my opinion, i feel as is the cops nowadays are taking things to an extent; they're not thinking before they do. Just because these people have a badge, doesn't give them permission to do whatever they want. These cops are supposed to be protecting us from crime, yet they're focusing on the less important, that have no reason to be getting attacked from them. I honestly feel that we really can't trust cops anymore. What will they do for us? Yes, they're trying to keep us safe, but they're really doing it wrong. I read another article and watched a video of about 4-5 cops beating down a 16-year-old boy for J-walking. This boy was doing what everyone else does. yet they chose a child to beat down. He wasn't even doing anything wrong. What I don't understand is why it's so hard to choose the right people for this job and what kind of logic these cops have going through their head.

Current Event #5:
"Hillary Clinton: Donald Trump 'Should Start Behaving like a President'"
This article is providing information on Clinton's insight on how Trump is being really immature towards Obama. Although it is not in the article, besides how there has been accusations about Obama being a Muslim, there has been jokes made about him that seems unfit for people trying to be elected to run our country. Hillary is saying how Trump is being really childish about acting and saying the rude things that has been said about Obama. How could one run a country and be so childish?
As a soon to be voter, I feel as if Trump wouldn't be the best candidate to run our country due to how he's acting towards the other candidates. It disgusts me at how inconsiderate Trump is and I personally think that he isn't fit for our office. He says all this nonsense to make it seem like he knows what he's saying but it's really nothing to benefit us in any way.

"Conservatives Firm on Planned Parenthood as Shutdown Loom"
This article is about how the House of Representatives are opposing the funding towards Planned Parenthood because that money could be used for "more important" things. "Our position is, we're not going to vote for something that allows money to continue to go to Planned Parenthood," Representative Jim Jordan said. These representatives are trying to get as many votes possible to support their theory.
I personally feel that Planned Parenthood shouldn't be shut down due to funding. There are many women in need of planned parenthood, so shutting it down wouldn't benefit anyone other than the government. I don't any reason as to why they feel the need to shut it down, if their having good funding throughout the government. They're really just trying to make excuses so they wouldn't have to pay extra for something that the Republicans don't feel the need to pay. The purpose of our government is to help and serve the people, and by shutting down planned parenthood, they wouldn't be helping us, women, at all.

Current Event #3:
"New Abortion Controversy Hits Congress"
Abortion is something, especially women, cannot ignore. In this article, they are basically stating how abortion shouldn't be a huge topic to be discussing. If women get pregnant, they would need to take on their responsibility to take care of their baby. They're doing this, trying to avoid abortion, due to protection of the unborn. Government wants to make sure that people are careful with their bodies but most importantly, they would want to make it so the unborn would be able to pursue a chance at life, regardless if it's with the birth parents or not.
Personally, I would be against abortion, but depending on the situation of the pregnancy, it would either be necessary or not. Most of the time, people are not always careful with their intimate life. So in that situation, and age, I feel as if abortion would be an option if the pill did not work. There are people that aren't ready to have children, but that doesn't mean that the fetus shouldn't have a chance at life. Even if the parents aren't ready, there are other options as to what they could do when it is born. Overall, I wouldn't support abortion, but if that's the only option in the scenario, it's the only option.
